Beaumont st carnivale

Beaumont st Carnivale was held on Sunday 12th March 2017. Beaumont st Carnivale runs along Beaumont st between Tudor st and Donald st. This year it attracted close to 20,000 patrons and the event included 4 massive stages of live music, cultural displays, camel rides, market stalls, roving entertainment and all of the great dining options the precinct is famous for.

THE PROJECT
The Beaumont Street Carnivale showcases a community that is rich in multicultural heritage while boasting modern retail, hospitality and lifestyle options. Beaumont st Carnivale is a celebration of all that and more, held over one massive day from 10am - 5pm. Bec Dujin from marketing, strategy and event campaign company Talk To Bec (talktobec.com.au) engaged us to create a video that showed off the vibrancy, multiculturalism and grandeur of the event.

PROCESS
To help show viewers how much of an amazing spectacle this event was we went out with a focus on capturing footage with wide angle lenses (to capture more in each shot), from height (to give viewers an idea of the scale of the event) and through speed (using timelapse to show the sheer amount of people).

FINAL PRODUCT
In the end we were able to create a video that took advantage of the techniques explained above and helped deliver a video that not only shows viewers that the awesome experience was enjoyed but also a video that can be used to help promote the event in the future to help attract more sponsors and patrons to this incredible event.
